In Outlook Express, color-coding incoming email is very simple. I haven't yet
figured out if it's possible in Outlook. Can someone help, please? Thanks!

If you're using OL2003, you've got two options:

Do you want to add a colored flag to an email? If so, try using the Rules
Wizard.

If you're looking to color the letters, try using Automatic Formatting. You
can find it here: Tools menu > Organize > Using Colors > Click Automatic
Formatting.

If you're using something earlier than OL2003, you won't have the colored
flags feature.

Personally I like using color flags better since the items end up in the For
Follow Up search folder.

Thanks very much, Vince. I am using Outlook 2003. I appreciate your advice on the use of flags rather than colored text. I'll give it a try.

You can also use Tools Organise and use the colour settings.

Thanks, Judy. More research finally led me to the excellent training tutorial at Microsoft.com's Support. Problem solved, and I appreciate all the help.
