This hdd is my secondary drive although it shows C" drive. Upon scanning
using NAV, it says
C:\SYSTEM VOL...\a0321039 was infected with SecurityRisk.NavHelper. How can
I clean it. (fyi,When I run the Trendmicro-it says access denied.) TIA

A virus has apparently infected your System Restore folder.
You'll need to turn-off System Restore, reboot, then turn it back on.
One cannot delete an individual Restore Point....it's all or nothing.

Many thanks and now I have a further problem
In Add/remove, trying to remove 'Hijack. This 1.99.0 and it would not allow
me to remove , quote "an error occur while tryong to remove HJ. You dont have
access to D:\Spy. You can specify the new uninstall program below" which is a
box for you to fill.

What is your D: drive? If it is an optical drive, then it makes sense
that you would be getting that error since you can't delete the file
from a cd-r.

When using HJT, one should always make a folder on the hard drive for
it. The program has its own uninstaller which you can access from the
Misc. Tools section.

If D: is another hard drive and you *did* run HJT from a hard drive,
then please post back with details. Try to use HJT's uninstaller first.

This post doesn't make sense to me. If you are trying to delete a file
from your cd, you can't. If you installed HJT onto a secondary hard
drive which you subsequently removed, then put the drive back,
uninstall HJT, and then remove the drive again.
