When i push on a link to download something, it starts to download right away
without asking me where to save it.
How can I change this? I want to choose the path where the file to be
downloaded.

Hi

You can specify the download folder via the Registry, but please back it up
first.

Open the Registry Editor and navigate to the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer - in the right hand
pane double click on 'Download Directory' and change the location.

To get the download dialog box, enable the "confirm open after download"
option for that filetype:

Open Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder Options, File Type tab
Scroll down to locate the file type. Highlight the filetype click the
"Advanced" button.
Then check the option "confirm open after download".

It depends on how you've set the default folder for downloads for
whatever browser you are using.
