How can I automate inserting photos into a Powerpoint presentation

I need to prepare a long slide show using 150 of my own photos (jpegs)--I can
put them in order into a single folder.

How can I then automate the process of inserting the 150 files into a
presentation (rather than inserting them one-at-a-time). (I'm happy to
tweak them one-by-one afterwards)
