Hi Mascottt,
For Office 2007 Microsoft built on the AutoText engine to create 36 separate default galleries with hundreds of 'canned' items each
showing a 'preview' of the actual content to be included, shipped with Word and the other Office 2007 apps. With the addition and
diverse locations for the new 'Building Blocks' feature Microsoft turned off the 'Autocomplete suggestions' popup feature that you
were using, in part for performance reasons, in part because with as much content as they shipped having 'unique' key sequences was
less likely, and we're guessing part because of the time they had to work on the feature before shipping Office 2007. The Document
Building block organizer is available in Word through
Insert=>Quickparts (Quickparts is one of the 36 galleries, as is Autotext).
Autocomplete for the current date still works. You can, if you know the characters that triggered the Autocomplete suggestion,
press F3 at that point to complete replacement of the typed text with a Building Block or you can place the entry into the
AutoCorrect list by highlighting it and using Alt, T, A to bring up the Autocorrect dialog box. Once in Autocorrect the entry would
be replaced as you type and if you didn't want to use the replacement then using Ctrl+Z (undo) would put things back the way you
typed.
In 2007 Outlook uses a 'clone' of Word rather than Word itself as email editor, so not all of the Word features and entries move to
Outlook. Outlooks default template for storing Document Building Blocks is NormalEmail.dotm

I used to be able to type "Best r" and "Best regards" would show up as an
option the same way "Febr" would bring up "February." I can't find a way to
do that in Word / Outlook 2007. Any thoughts?>>
