Contact your ISP to see if they offer a News server.....if not then there
are several non-ISP related news servers you can subscribe to, some free,
some with a small fee.

What you are seeing are MS groups and you're using MS servers. Use your
ISP server or use aioe.org, a free news server.

Tools > Accounts > Add > News
You need to know the server name of the news service you have in mind
etc.

Tom

Sure... Add another newsgroup account to access another news server.
Tools - Accounts - Add - Newsgroup account.............

I used Alias's suggestion of Aioe.org ... thanks a million guys for the
help, worked great!

Hundreds of "public" newsgroups are out there - which are available to you
depends on the News Server - check your ISP first - most naintian a News
Servere.

When I download the list of news groups from my ISP, there are over 70,000
public news groups.

Can't resist that line. There are a few hundred Microsoft newsgroups.
But there are tens of thousands of public newsgroups.
