how ca i unlock a word document?

i can't write on a new blank document.

it says "This modification is not allowed because the document is locked".

I tried to unlock by using CTRL+SHIFT+F11

It does not work.
 
Word 2007? Chances are this is a trial version that has now expired. Time to
pay the piper!
