You could use Imaging software such as Powerquest Drive Image (now taken
over by Symantec) or you could use Symantec Ghost. These applications will
create an image of all of your hard drive - operating system, applications,
files etc. If disaster strikes you simply boot up from the Drive image CD
(Ghost floppy) and instruct the applications to copy the image back to your
hard drive.
If, on the other hand, you only want to backup documents and are using the
Windows Backup utility i suggest you save the backup file to your desktop.
(i know you only have the option for a floppy but if you click the browse
button and a floppy isn't found you should be able to browse to other files
and directories. Simply select desktop) Once the file is saved to desktop
you can then copy it to cd using your cd copy software. Just remember that
you cannot run files over from one cd to another using this method so make
sure each 'batch' of saved documents etc is no larger than 600MB
