Hi Jose,

Most of the registry changes require a reboot, while it's not necessary in
some cases. Restarting the Shell (explorer.exe process) works in cases. Open
Task Manager and end task Explorer.exe process. Then create a new
Explorer.exe process from File/New. Or, see this from David:

Click Start - Turn Off Computer (or maybe Shutdown) - Ctrl + Alt + Shift +
click Cancel (or Close) (your Desktop and Start Menu now disappear).

Please, how apply registry changes without reboot in Windows XP?

Thanks in advance

Hi

Some edits to the Registry need a reboot, otherwise the changes won't take
effect. I always reboot after manually editing the Registry.
