hello,
I've forgotten, and can't find in help, how to turn on the
hourglass using VBA in a function.
any suggestions?

Hi Chip,

That's an approach that I haven't seen before.
How do I turn it off after the process is complete?

To return the cursor to its default setting, use

Application.Cursor = xlDefault
