I'm new to Microsoft Outlook, and want to view and send email using Microsoft
Outlook. I have used Hotmail for quite a while, and am looking for a method
of "re-routing". (?) I played around with the configurations, but still could
not connect to my hotmail accout through Outlook. Can any one help? Thanks.

That's Outlook 2000 and HTTP (i.e., Hotmail) accounts aren't supported in
that version at all.

hai~ So every other version supports it but not this version? Then, in this
case, can anyone refer me to a program like Outlook that supports Hotmail?
Thanks.

No, only Outlook 2002 and 2003 have supported Hotmail. Outlook 97-2000 do
not.

Outlook Express may, but MSN is discontinuing access to the free Hotmail
accounts via WebDAV (HTTP) accounts. If you pay $25 for a Hotmail account,
you'll be able to download the MSN Outlook Connector program that will allow
you to access Hotmail from Outlook 2002/2003. You should also be able to
access your Hotmail Plus or Premium account from Outlook Express via POP or
HTTP. See http://support.microsoft.com/?id=287604
