hotmail and msn problems, please help me...

hi,

i recently bought a pc and everyting was working fine but now when i want to
check my mail in hotmail the page can't load after i entered my email and
password.

The same problem occurs in msn messenger, it won't connect but my email and
password are good.
I work with XP Pro and i got an cable internet account.

Can anyone please help me???

If "page can't load" means you get a page not found or "404" error,
I'd check for a browser or dns hijack.

Do this: Start - Run - type "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt", open
"c:\ipconfig.txt" in Notepad, copy and paste contents here.

Search your entire hard drive, including hidden and system folders,
for file "hosts". The one legit hosts file will be in
"...\system32\drivers\etc".

Check for spyware. Get HijackThis, Spybot S&D, and expert advice at
SWI Forums (all free). Complete instructions are available at:
