Hotmail account keeps asking me to confirm

I have a profile with 3 hotmail accounts. Two of them work every time. One
will ask me to log into the web page and read that text that you have to
transcribe to the entry box and then it confirms you again. I can't find
any hotmail forums - I'm not sure if this has something to do with Outlook
or Hotmail. I've removed the account and recreated it in Outlook but this
still happens at least once a week.

Guess you'll finally have to pay for those Hotmail accounts. The
intervening prompt is Microsoft's way of blocking them from being used
to spew spam but it only applies against the freebie Hotmail accounts.
Since all WebDAV access to the freebie accounts is scheduled to end in
about a month, Microsoft really doesn't care that the little time left
on the still accessible freebie Hotmail accounts is getting disrupted
with their anti-spam qualification prompt. So while you are having
difficulties now, you won't have any in about a month - because you
won't have ANY WebDAV access at all for your freebie Hotmail accounts.
Decide to pay or start looking around for alternative freebie accounts.

A few other people see that stupid confirmation form... I assume it's caused
by hotmail, not outlook. I don't know of a way to avoid it. Are they all
free accounts or paid accounts?

Dang - I thought some were grandfathered. Yep - time to get some other free
accounts. I really would never go to web pages I had to log into via the
web.

I use freebie Yahoo accounts. Nope, they don't provide POP3/SMTP access
(you need to pay to get those) but you can use YahooPOPs which is a
local HTTP-to-POP3 proxy that lets you connect any POP3-compliant e-mail
client to a freebie Yahoo Mail account.
