IS IT REALLY SO HARD for Microsoft to keep
the "#@$(&#@$@#^%#@^%$&@#&" unattended switches straight
on the hot fixes?
They change the damn things all the time.
Does anybody know how to install the MDAC security fix
Q823718 from the command line without having to click on
the Yes/No button after it installs and asks if you want
to reboot your computer?
I had to manually extract the files from
Q823718_MDAC_SecurityPatch.exe into a folder (Or you will
see a stupid screen telling you DO you want to install
this fix) and then run the file dathotfix.exe to install
the actual fix as follows:
dahotfix.exe /Q /R:N
To my surprise, /R:N which is used for "Do not reboot
after install" does not work any longer and you get a
prompt at the end that says "Do you want to restart"
Thanks for your help,
Diego
