HotFIX Q818506

When I try to install the hotfix I get the error "This
update requires IE 6.0 SP1 to be installed." I am running
IE 6 with SP1. Any Ideas?

Copy/paste the following line into an IE Addressbar, click on GO, then
copy/paste the results into your reply:

javascript:navigator.appMinorVersion

Also state your Windows version.

Q818506 installs Wininet.dll v6.0.2800.1207.

Q867801 (Aug-04), which you have installed, gives you Wininet.dll
v6.0.2800.1405.

The error message is simply stating that you don't want or need Q818506
because there's a newer version of Wininet.dll already installed. IOW if
installing the earlier version of Wininet.dll was the fix for
whatever-problem-you're-having, the current version would be, too, and since
you're still having the problem, Wininet.dll, whatever the version, will not
be your fix.
