I need to remove Q328310 but it is not showing up in the ADD/Remove Programs in Control Panel. To where do I need to go to delete it. My OS is Windows XP Home Edition.

Hi Fabio

Look for the following folder in Windows Explorer and run the spuninst.exe
file:

%systemroot%\$NtUninstallQ328310$\spuninst

Please notice the other Updates that uninstall this may effect.

I also have Windows XP Home Edition and 328310 does show up in my add/remove
programs. Do you remember installing it? Did you install SP1?

Will,

I have tried your instuction, and it came out that it could not find the patch installed.

This is why I am trying to uninstall this patch.

Issue – On Windows XP, there is a conflict between Microsoft Hotfix Q328310 and InstallShield.
Because this conflict causes ikernel.exe errors, the install script has been modified to detect the Hotfix, issue a message and abort the installation.

Solution – Refer to document XP_HOTFIX.DOC on the VPN installation CD for bypass instructions.

The documentation says to remove Q328310 in order to comtinue with the installation.
