It seems to me that when there is a known bug in a Microsoft product, such as
that described in KB 810646, that Microsoft ought to make the fix readily
available to its customers at no cost. Instead, a user is faced with an
inscrutable maze of "support" options, none of which seem to lead to a simple
way to get the fix. And I don't understand why it costs $35 to get a fix for
a Microsoft bug.
