Hosts file - deleted contents....BIG Mistake???

edited & deleted all entries in: Hosts....C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc

¿¿Did I make a big mistake??

Am useing SPY SWEEPER & got message my Hosts file was too large....I did not
follow their instructions....to minimise the Hosts file....insted, I deleted
ALL contents.

That's not a big mistake.
The only line that you should have in the "hosts" file is:

127.0.0.1 localhost

download a NEW one

even has a batch file to insert it into the right location.
