Can anyone recomend a good host site for use with pages
created with Front Page 2000. I would like to use dyanamic
effects and also to upload wth an FTP program. I would prefer
a free site or the least costly site that will allow both.

I would also like to know if I can install FP 2003 but leave
on my FP 2000 and be certain that the 2003 version will
not interfer with the sites I am working with in 2000.

I would also like to know the name of the book that most
people would recomend for learning FP 2003 as I understand
it is much more difficult than 2000.

I would appreciate any assistance re the above.

Tripod is a free hosting service that supports FP. It puts
ads on your pages, though. It's good for personal, not
professional, use.

Firstly you need a host that supports the Frontpage extensions - in which case
you can't just FTP the pages - it will corrupt the extensions. (see the other
replies to your posting).

Secondly you need at least Windows2000 or XP to run Frontpage 2003. (but I don't
know how it will behave if you have two versions on the one machine). You didn't
mention what OS you're running. and I'm not sure that FP 2000 will actually run
on anything higher than Win 98 anyway Fp 2002 will run on XP/2000.

Thirdly, have you tried the 'Frontpage 2003 For Dummies' (if even in print yet?)
series of books on FP 2003? or the "Complete Idiot's Guide to....." series (I
don't know if they're the most popular, but one or other would be my
recommendation :-) ).

FP 2000 will run on Win2000 and WinXP.
