Horizontal lines problem

I have a horizontal continuous line in my document that I can't seem to
delete.

I can't get the cursor on it at all - it's as if it is part of some
background formatting.

The document was created by me from scratch. I remember putting a line there
by typing "---" followed by return (which creates lines like this) and I also
moved that whole paragraph up the document to the page where the lines are
now but I just can't get it to go away.

Even if I select all the text around the line and "Cut" - the text is
removed but the line remains there. Anyone know a reason why this could
happen and how to remove it?

Hope you can help

Thanks

Janice

I think my problem is exactly the same as yours, so where do we get the
answer or how do we get it if it's already posted in this discussion group?

You could start by reading the previous answers in this thread.

Thank you so much for your help - I only just managed to find my way back to
the my question and find your answer - and it DID work for me. This has had
me tearing my hair out for a while.

Thanks again for your posting
