Homepage problems

I seem to be unable to change my home page. Although the original homepage appears in the folder list, it is called 'Default.htm. If I change it to 'Index.htm' it appears as my homepage, but none of the hyperlinks work

Any suggestions please

Are you renaming it with the web open in FrontPage.
Also, have you tried Recalculating Hyperlinks.
