Hello,
I am having problems with my explorer home page default
setting.
There is a web page (firstbookmark.net) that has attached
itself to the use default section of the internet option
setting that I can not seem to get rid of.
I have tried resetting the default page (Tools: internet
option, program, reset web setting, apply,OK) and no luck.
I have deleted all cookies, temporary files and cleared
the history and still no luck.
Once I complete the above and restarted my computer the
default setting of numbers,/,% and a few letter reappear
in the address window when the (use default) tab is
clicked on.
With all that said and done, when I reopen the window's
Explorer the firstbookmark.net page opens up.
I have purchased Norton A/V. Downloaded SPYBOT, Still no
luck.
This web page starting giving me problems. When I open
Explorer and open anyother site other then
firstbookmark.net the page becomes very slow.
I'm using IE6 sp1 with q818529,q330994. XP-home.
Can someone tell me what I can or can't do to solve this
problem.
Kind Regards.
James Wilks.
