Hi, Help would be appreciated. I keep having to set my
home page. Everytime I enter IE, I get this
http://nkvd.us/ as my home page. It won't go away, even
when I reset my homepage with the options.
Can anybody help?

"nkvd.us" = Coolwebsearch trojan

OK I did the hijack this and it seemeds to work. When I
ran the as-aware it said I have 20 sessions running. I
think this would be slowing my system down considerably.
Is there anyway of only having the systems I need running?

I hope you cleaned the parasites.

As for the running processes. Do this.
Execute MSCONFIG in the start/run applet
Under the StartUp tab you will see the running processes.
Some you will identify other may be not. The link below will help you find
out what they are.

DO NOT disable EXPLORER, systray and your virus programs.

Check this list.
