I set my home page preference but about every third or
fourth time I open Explorer the page has been changed to
a "look-up page" that features shopping and internet
gaming links. Any suggestions on how to rid my system of
this problem? Which file does the browser look to for
the start up page?

Thanks,

Al Gee

It looks in the registry... your problem is almost certainly spyware,
probably installed behind your back.

There's lots of it about, wait for other tips too but have a look at these
links .

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
