Is there a means to fix the problem where a website
continues to override the home page.
I have gone in the Tools/Internet Options/ and clicked on
the Use current button.
Immediately thereafter the home page that I have chosen
has been overridden by another home page.\

I set the home page to "use blank" but still the same
page comes up(although it shos "about:blank" in the
address bar) and a pop up comes up with address
http://vs.teis.tv/xyz.php... tried to ristrict the site
in ie options but still with no result.

Any guidance would be helpful.
Is this overriding home page buried somewhere in a
registry?
thnaks in advance.

Unfortunately Microsoft knows about this problem, they
have to. If you do a google search on about:blank you
will find more than 100,000 pages of people listing
complaints and suggestions to fix the problem.

I have spent countless hours trying to deal with this
because it's obvious that Microsoft doesn't care about the
problems with their browsers.

As a web developer I have let all of my customers know
that Microsoft IE is one of the most problematic browsers
on the market and that I can't correct the problems they
might experience. I test my websites on the IE browser
but do not make any attempt to correct the issues as the
browser is really bad.

I have added to my contract the names of the browsers that
I can guarantee my websites will work on with a strong
warning about Microsoft and their carelessness with their
software.

Problem is, a company gets too big to care about the
quality of the products they are putting out.

Everytime I see the add "It's better with the Butterfly" I
get angry, someone should swat that butterfly.

Netscape, AOL, etc. any other browser will help you to
avoid this problem.

Just time to walk away from a bad product.
