Home Office Connectivity

I have 3 PC's running on a home LAN. Some are Win98, and XP Professional. I
recently purchased a laptop with XP Home. I have set up the correct settings
for LAN conectivity, but it will not caoont to the LAN, however I can get
Inetrnet Access. The error mesaage I get is " you do not have permissions to
access this network resoursce. Contact your network administrator"

When I phoned Microsoft they told me that XP home does not have this
conectivity?

Any one got any ideas plaese?

When do you see the message "..not have permissions..."? This is a very vague
message, and can have numerous causes.

First, check for misconfigured / overlooked firewalls,

Next, check registry setting restrictanonymous.

If no help yet, examine "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
