Hi,
There is only a limit of computers that are allowed to simultaneously
connect to one of the computers. For Windows XP Professional, the maximum
number of other computers that are permitted to simultaneously connect over
the network is ten. This limit includes all transports and resource sharing
protocols combined. For Windows XP Home Edition, the maximum number of other
computers that are permitted to simultaneously connect over the network is
five. For more detailes tako a look at the following article:
Inbound connections limit in Windows XP http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;314882
In theory you can have unlimited number of computers in your workgroup, but
there is a limitation about how many connections an individual Windows XP
computer can handle.
