I am having a problem creating a home network with both Windows XP machines
and an old Windows 98 machine. the XP Machine wants a floppy drive, which I
do not have. I also cannot find the file C:\Windows\System32\Netsetup.exe on
my Windows XP Media Center machine. Is there an alternate file to copy?

Do you have a Windows XP CD-ROM? If so, put it in the Windows 98
machine, click "Perform Additional Tasks", and click "Set up a home or
small office network".

Despite what Windows XP tells you, you don't have to run the Wizard on
the Windows 98 machine. You can make the necessary settings manually.
For a typical home network:

1. Set the computer name and workgroup name.

2. Install these network components if they're not present:

a. Client for Microsoft Networks
b. TCP/IP
c. File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks

3. Configure TCP/IP to obtain an IP address automatically.
