I have three computers hooked up to a router which is
connected to a Cable Modem. I ran the network wizard on
XP to create a home network. XP Firewall is disabled,
the wizard ran correctly, and I can ping the computers,
but when trying to access them through my network places,
I get this message: HOME is not accessible. You might
not have permission to use this network resource.
Contact the administrator of this server to find out if
you have access permission.

The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently
available.

Any ideas?

Usually, WinXP's Networking Wizard makes it simple and painless --
almost entirely automatic, in fact. There's a lot of useful,
easy-to-follow information in WinXP's Help & Support files, and here:

Some details about the OSes on the other computers and the protocol used
would be helpful in assembling a vistage of an appropriate answer.

I installed a home network on XP system, WinMe system, and 98SE system. XP
system was new to the network, and did NOT use the XP network floppy on the
other two systems. Afterwards, installed ZA Pro on the XP system.

Using Simple File Sharing or did you turn that off? Simple File Sharing
authenticates using Guest. Is that account disabled?

Simple File Sharing is all that is available in XP Home. If using XP Pro,
it can be turned off in Folder Options> View.
