I set up a network with an ME machine and an XP machine. I
can see the ME machine from the XP machine, but when I
click on the ME machine I ge a message saying "\\ME is not
accessible. Youmight not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the Administrator of this server
to find out if you have access permissions. The network
path was not found." I have set this computer and network
up and I'm the only user, so I should have permissions.
Can anyone help to figure the solution to this error
message.

Make sure there are no firewalls including XP's ICF.

right click on the drives (C:,A:,ect.) in "My Computer", go to sharing and click on the share boxes to emable sharing of those drives

Hi there, I have a similar problem on the connection of a Win98 & WinXp PC to a network router. The XP can share the files on the 98 but not vice versa. Firewalls on both machines are disable. I can not even see any computer under My Network Neighbourhood except the Entire Network icon. When I click on it, I got an error message - unable to browse the network etc

Wonder if you have any clue to tackle the issue

Thank
