Is it posible to import into Calendar the public holidays for a particular
country?

Peter

Click on the Subscribe button, go to the Windows Calendar site, and look for
a calendar on one of the sites listed.
I'm subscribed to a US holiday one.

That page is not very informative.
Other than the obviously inappropriate choice of "Internet calendars
for Microsoft Office," which one of the remaining three choices does
one click on?

from
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/features/details/internetcalendar.mspx
you can go to
http://www.icalshare.com/
search for "us holiday"
or go to http://www.calendardata.com/
or just Google "us holiday ics"
I found http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/holidays.html

I'm subscribed to
http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/[email protected]/public/basic.ics

OK, thanks.

At http://www.icalshare.com/ I got
"'US Holidays (iCalShare)' appears to be offline or temporarily unavailable."

However, I was successful at http://www.calendardata.com/
