Mr. B

For some reason, my 'hide inactive icons' on the task bar no longer 'hides'
the icons.

I've looked at the "properties" and toggled the approriate "hide inactive
icons" button... but that does not work (I've even shut down, etc.)

Anyone know where in the Registry I can 'fix' this?

I've no idea why this has suddenly stopped. But it's been several days now...

Appreciated!

Regards,

Bruce

For some users, setting the very first icon to Always Hide, restores the
arrow.

Hmmm... interesting. And where would that setting be to hide the 'first'
icon?

Thanks!

Right click on your systray and click properties(not on one of the programs
that are running).
Now click customize to the right of where it says "hide inactive icons."
There you will be able to tell it which programs you want to see and not..
make sure and click ok and apply and all that or it probably won't work.

It will still play with your head tho,
If you say always hide they just won't show up and even if they do they'll
disappear now and then just for fun..
This is a virus the linuxfux gave you when you weren't looking.. blame them!
good luck!

Have you tried customising the settings??
