was wondering if there was any way to pull up info that was typed into DOS
like 2 weeks ago. i Need to find an ip address that i sent a tracert to. The
history in IE was erased and dos is my only hope. PLEASE HELP

1. There's no DOS in WinXP. There's a 32-bit command console.
2. There's no way to do what you want. Within a session you can use
the up and down arrow keys to scroll through previous commands, but
those commands are forgotten when you close the console window.

when I think I want to keep a search string or some DOS window
command string, I do a quick keyboard shortcut to copy the text to
the clipboard then save it to a Notepad .txt file. but, if you blew
your history away 2 weeks ago, and you have no backups, I think you
may be toast.

You could try a file recovery app. Undelete the IE history. I use this one
occasionally.
