I want to create a document template with hints/comments on.

Used to do it on Lotus a number of years ago but can't find how to do it in
word...

Would like to put hints in i.e. Subject: <Please type your subject here>

When the user clicks on the hint it disappears and allows the user to type
in the subject. If they delete it the hint re-appears, anyone know how to
achieve this?

best regards

Marcus

See http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/UsingMacroButton.htm.

However, if the user types something and then deletes it, the hint won't
reappear. To do that, you'd have to set up a protected form, and use a text
formfield with a default text. That has too many other side effects to make
it worth the effort for this simple request.
