Highlight on Mouse Over

Hey

I have a few action buttons on a master slide, and for some reason the "highlight on click" and "highlight on mouse over" check boxes on the mouse click and mouse over tabs of the action settings box (respectively) are grayed out. Suggestions would be great!
 
This usually only happens when you are assigning action settings to Action
Buttons since they are "automatically" clicked. Is there a faint checkmark
in the box when it is disabled? If so, it is because it is set and you
can't unset it. It is other objects that you need to tell PowerPoint that
you want to "highlight" by showing the hand pointer when over the image.
