I just bought a four port high speed USB hub manufactured
by Belkin. When I plug it into my laptop (running
Windows XP) I get an error message to the effect that I
do not have high speed USB drivers installed. I keep my
Windows updates current. How/where can I download these
drivers?

I don't think the error you see is due to a problem with the hub. It has
more to do with the USB controller(s) installed on your laptop. Those
controllers may not be USB 2.0 compliant.

I tried the Belkin site first, but couldn't get any
info. My brother-in-law says I need a card to bring my
computer up to 2.0 compliancy. I thought it was
compliant, having just been bought this year, but I guess
it's not.

Thanks anyway.
Happy summer

Under DEVICE MANAGER.
Choose USB HUB
Choose Update driver and should solve problem

Windows XP was shipped with the default as the USB 1.1 drivers. This
was because USB 2.0 wasn't completely supported at the time. WinXP sp1
included the USB 2.0 High Speed drivers, BUT were not install automatically,
unless you select the "Update Drivers" button on the USB hub.
