Hello!

I wuold like to hide the text of the footer without content.

Do you have any idea how to do this. My powerpoint slide show has
"author:" text on it's footer, and I wuold like to hide the "author:"
if there is no author defined. There is no need to use footers if
there is some other way to do this. Any advice wuold be appreciated.

Thank you of your reply, but it is not quite what I'm
looking. I wuold like that the "author:" text is visible,
if somebody defines the author, so that all the users
wuoldn't have to write it and they still wuold know that
it is expected to define author. Any ideas?

One way would be to include an instruction sheet in the presentation. Go to
Normal View. Create a slide with a title of "Instructions". Include any
specific instructions for using the template, including directions on how and
where to include the autor name. Then hide the slide - - Go to Slide Show >
Hide Slide. Return to View > Master > Slide Master and save the template.

Users who select the template will see the Instructions sheet, but because it is
hidden, it won't show up when the presentation is run.
