how can i hide the envelope in the system tray that apears when a new email
arives? i only want the envelope to apear when i have a new email in my
inbox. I have a outlook rule that moves specific new emails to the junkmail
folder. how can i make it so that if any new email gets moved to that folder
it doesn't notify me with this envelope icon?

Won't work. ALL incoming POP3 accounts deliver their messages into your
Inbox and THEN it gets moved (the rules only operate on messages in the
Inbox). The notification has already been triggered before ANY of your
rules execute. So matter where you want to move them out of the Inbox,
they were already delivered there and that triggered the notification
tray icon to alert you. You could even have a rule that permanently
deletes an inbound message which you may want no notification about but
it still went into your Inbox first and triggered the notification. The
rules run too late or, alternatively, the check that there are
*remaining* new messages in your Inbox occurs too soon.
