Hide/Show Icons arrow disappeared

Suddenly, the slideout arrow in the system tray which
shows or hides icons is gone, and Yes, I've check the
properties and Hide Unused Icons box is checked. Re-
booting does nothing. Virus scan is negative. Is this
some kind of corrupted system file which I need to
reload? Please help

I don't know, but it wouldn't hurt to run the System File Checker. At the
Run prompt, type: sfc /scannow
