hi all,

window have two categories of shortcut: for each user and for all
users.
i want to create a user profile that only show its short cut not all
users's shortcut. Is there any registry key to do this?

Pls help, any comment will be appreciated much. Tks.

Hi,

No, there's no registry key to do this because by design anything placed in
the common All Users directories is available to any logon. If you don't
want a user to have access to a particular program or data store, change the
permissions on the program folder.

I am not sure what exactly you are trying to accomplish. There are probably a
dozen ways around this, but one that comes to mind is to go to the folder
that contains the shortcuts for all users and set the deny list permission
for users that you would not like to see the shortcuts.
