Does anyone know of a way tos hide or protect a folder
from other -- like your kids! I have some financial and
password files that I don't want to share with anyone.
Thanks!

Simple way is to right click on the folder and make it hidden. You will
then need to switch your explorer folder options to either show or hide
hidden files and folders. Windows Explorer->Tools->Folder Options->Hidden
files and folders.

There are several pay programs that will hide/encrypt and password protect
folders. But if your kids are young enough this might do the trick.

WinZip (www.winzip.com) has encryption. You zip the files and people can
see the file names but can't open them without the password. Version 8.1
has encryption, and the beta version 9.0 has better encryption. There are
also many other encryption programs out there.
