Is there a way to block the system tray popup messages indicating successful
print jobs? I had the Windows Firewall enabled, which evidently blocked them,
but then I had to disable the FW to Symantec Enterprise to push client
updates across the network to the workstations, and now users are complaining
about the printer messages.

Thanks, Alan. A little more digging, once you headed me in the right
direction, uncovered this page that explains the proces & shows the registry
entries: (FYI for anyone else reading this post):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\Settings\EnableBalloonNotificationsLocal
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\Settings\EnableBalloonNotificationsRemote

How To Enable or Disable Print Job Notifications in Windows XP

I am not sure what the registry key for this is.
