Gina,
You're asking to protect the data in the sheet from change, and also to
prevent copy/paste, presumably to keep your data from being copied. ???
That is two separate requirements.
For the former, you can lock cells (Format - Cells - Protection tab), then
protect the sheet (Tools - Protection - Protect sheet).
You can hide your formulas, if that's what you're concern is, with Format -
Cells - Protection tab - Hidden, and Tools - Protect sheet.
If you're trying to prevent the copying and pasting of your sheet data to
another place, consider this. There are many ways to do copy and paste.
Thus blocking them would take considerable effort. There are the keyboard
shortcuts Alt-c and Alt-v, respectively (or the old Shift-Insert and
Ctrl-Insert). There is the Edit menu from the menu bar, as well as the
standard toolbar, and the context (right-click) menu of a cell. An entire
sheet can be copied to another workbook with either the right-click menu of
a sheet tab, or the Edit menu. Or, outside of Excel, someone with
not-too-extensive knowledge would be able to copy the screen with PrintScr
key, then turn right around and paste it into any application that accepts a
graphic. OCR software could be used to turn it back into text (though cell
formulas would have been lost). The horse is out of the barn, I'm afraid.
