hidden comments

How can I make all comments editable without first having to click on "show"? Some comments on my worksheet seem to be hidden while others are not. Thanks.

Thanks but I didn't want to view ALL the comments. I just want to be able to edit a comment in a particular cell without have to first show the comment. Usually if I'm on a cell that contains a comment the comment will show then if I right click I can "edit". However some & only some of my comments do not show up unless I first right click than click "show" then I'm able to edit.

To show all comments in all open workbooks, choose View>Comments.

I'm not sure if this fits, but when you say you're in the cell, does that mean
the cell is selected?

Comments show up when you hover the mouse over the cell--not when you select the
cell.

Are the comments not showing up when you hover the cursor over the cell?

If the cell contains a comment, you should be able to right-click on the
cell, and choose Edit Comment, even if the comment is not visible.

Some of the comments were NOT showing up when hovering. Think I may have it fixed now...some cells had "locked" under protection. I've highlighted whole worksheet & set cell, protection, locked as unchecked.
Thanks for all the help and sorry for confusion in my questions

Glad you got your problem fixed--but I'm surprised that was the answer.

I get the comment to appear on both locked cells and unlocked cells in both
protected and unprotected worksheets.

(Maybe it was a coincidence that the problem disappeared????)
