I have a word document that looks at first glance completely blank, with just
some text boxes visible.

However when I view this document via Notpad or Lotus Notes viewer it is
displaying some text as 'Embedded Clipart'

Why can't I see this in Word and MORE importantly how can I remove it?

Thanks
Julie

Hi Julie
Can you see the pictures in print preview?

If so, have you checked your options to ensure that you have drawing objects
selected rather than just the picture place holders?

In Word 2000 these settings live in Tools > Options > View. Under "Show"
deselect "Picture placeholders" and under "Print and web layout options"
ensure that "Drawings" is selected. Then switch to print layout (View Print
Layout or Alt + Ctrl + P) if you're not already using it, and you should be
able to see the pictures.

Hi

This is so strange, my options under Tools are set as you have indicated and
the clipart doesn't show in print preview, but lotus notes view it's there
for all to see. The only thing is in word the document is only 1 page, but in
lotus the image is on page one and the data that I can see in word is on page
2??????

Hi

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a go, but you may be right perhaps I
should cut my losses and open a new document.

Thanks Julie
