Hi;

When I put my xp home version in hibernate mode it seems
to come out of it fine unless it is left for an extended
length of time like a couple of hours or over night.

When I push the ON button everything loads fine but when
I try to go on line I get the dreaded 404 error. If I
restart the machine I'm back in business but then what
was the point of hibernation?

Any ideas anyone? It's a Dell Dimension 1.6 256M ram not
that it matters.

Truthfully, I've never been able to figure out why anyone would want
hibernation anyway. Windows has historically not been very good at
doing it. In my opinion, you're better off disabling hibernation (and
thereby reclaiming a good chunk of hard drive space) and just turn off
the computer when you're finished with it.

Cheers,
