Hibernate help

My computer goes to blue screen preparing to standby then doesn't. It used
to work, but for some reason isn't working any longer. The enable hibernate
box is checked. Running Windows XP. Please help?

This suggests a driver in trouble. Usually the Blue screen will
indicate at the bottom - something.sys
Look for it in windows\system32\drivers and right click. Take
Properties and the Version page should tell you what it relates to. You
may need an updated driver from the maker, or it may be that Windows
Update has installed a new one that is not working as well as the old.
Look for the device in Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device
Manager; d-click Drivers page and try Roll back driver
