Hello,

Is there any hex editor which will open a 512MB file without crashing?
I tried frhed but it crashes. Ideally, I'd like something that can
retrieve, say, the first 64MB of the file and work on this; then go to
the next 64MB.

Thanks.

TinyHexer. I just loaded a 602 Meg file into it. It's not fast (it's
actually pretty slow) but it holds the entire file in RAM if you have
enough RAM to hold it. (I'm running 1 Gig of RAM, and the file's
still in TH as I'm typing this.)

I can't say for sure it does, but Hexplorer is worth a try.
