Frank,
Since all the downloads are executables and I haven't seen them at any
freeware group, I'm going to do like you and let somebody else try them
out. 80)>

strategy.

Several people have posted about "Greeting Card Creator" and some of the other apps. AFAIK everything on the page is Freeware.

If Hemera are anything like they used to be, you`ll find you`ve got to
install their software to access the pretty pics. Of course there is free
and ?free?. best wishes to all. ..J

I have Greeting Card Creator and Business Card Creator installed since
Oct04. They sure are free. Trouble free operation, clean.
All the clipart is in .wmf format, but the templates seem to be a
proprietry format. *.bcd for business card and *.crd for greeting cards.

I mentioned Jigsaw Puzzler here about two weeks ago or longer. Works a
beaut, no spyware / adware / etc. Completely free.

The Image Sampler package is also free though you need their software. Lots
of good graphics too, not the low end crap you usually get from these types
of proggies.

Hello,
If Hemera are anything like they used to be, you`ll find you`ve
got to install their software to access the pretty pics.

I got a 4 CD set as a present once and tried a bit. I wanted to
work with their images without their application, so I found out
that their *.hpi images are something I would call "multipage
jpg" (like in tiff) with a jpg in the image and another one for
the alpha channel. There is no problem getting this two layers
out of the file with XnView. So at this point my investigation
stopped, the remnant I made using Photoshop (which is OT here).
Renaming to .jpg should allow more apps to access even the first
image part, the transparency in the alpha channel may get lost
this way. But knowing the file structure it should be easy to
code a "hpi to png" converter or stuff like this. Is there
anybody out there...?

Regards,
Thorsten

I said "freeware group" and meant "reputable freeware website". Sorry.
