What kind of a background? Try the help tool within Word. What specifically
are you looking for?

I need a history report done on it (stupid teacher lol) i already tried to
google, mamma and ask it but to no avail

sheesh so much for a quick response lol pleas help on monday all responses
must be e -mailed to my gaggle account. My teacher will be making us work on
it then.

Ahhh, yes, you said a mouthful there. The purpose of this newsgroup is
to help Word users with the mechanics of preparing Word documents, not
to provide the content of Word documents. What you are asking is for
someone to do your homework for you because you don't feel like doing it
yourself. In the long run, working hard will get you much farther in
life than hardly working.

incorect i am looking for aid on my research as my teacher told us to use any
source available. SO THERE

Well I just did a google search with a fairly obvious search string and the
first hit contains a wealth of information. SO GO FIND IT!

So where?

Good luck.

You might try "word processing history" on Google.
